Precise Writing for Public Agency Employees

Course Description
In Precise Writing, participants discover proven techniques to maximize effectiveness and minimize writing time. This comprehensive course focuses on the basic skills necessary to write concise, clear and convincing documents. Time is spent reviewing grammar and punctuation and learning how to edit for clarity and accuracy.

Course includes full pre and post course assessment:

  • Quantitative grammar assessment
  • Qualitative writing assessment

Attendees will leave the course with an assessment of their grammar and writing, awareness of where improvement has taken place, areas for future development and a plan to make it happen! No guesswork involved - you will "know" the impact of the training!

This course is intended for public agency employees who write on the job. Administrative assistants, clerks, IT personnel, program specialists, office technicians, and administrators are among those who profit most.

Instructor
Vicki Quirarte is an experienced instructor, writer and speaker. Vicki has worked and taught with the Los Rios Community College, Training Source and her own private writing/consulting firm for over 20 years. She has a long list of California State Agencies and other public and private sector clients who she has not only satisfied, but delighted with her ability to entertainingly deliver writing courses that result in "Real Performance Improvement". She has recently published her first book and is passionate about writing and teaching others how to write excellently.
